At the EIC, our national iaido team took gold during the team championship in the finale against Germany.
The day before, we had the individuals and had some very good results.

The revision of the FIK Handbook for Kendo Shiai and Shinpan Management was approved by the BODM on 7 July 2025.This revision incorporates the contents of the Provisional Shiai and Shinpan Rules in Place Until the COVID-19 Pandemic is Brought Under Control.Accordingly, the application of these provisional rules will be discontinued.Please find the files below.

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Labas Sensei, a most respected sensei in the Belgium federation. Daniel Sensei left us yesterday, leaving a void that will be deeply felt throughout the Belgian and European community. Daniel Sensei’s legacy will forever be interwoven with our practice. We have a new 6th Dan in Belgium
Dirk D’hont passed his kendo examination at the EKC 2025.

Our National Kendo Team came home from the EKC this year with good results.
They took home a lot of fighting spirits:
Kurogi Kota (Men team)
Haeke Sakura (Ladies team)
Van Laecken Ken (Men ind.)
And a bronze medal in the Junior individual for De Smet Haruki.
