After a long break due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the European KendoFederation was again in capacity to organise for Kendo and Iaido thehigh-level grade examinations. For Kendo, the examinations gathered 86 candidates for 6th dan and 39candidates for 7th dan on the next day of the EKC in Frankfurt. 31st EKC Frankfurt (Germany) After a long time of not doing kendo because of Covid 19, we finally hadagain a European Kendo Championship in Frankfurt.As the new coach of the Belgium team, together with our new managerIsmail Bozok, we can say that this year was more then a great success. Our first goal was to get a team back to the dojo. A team that would beready for this EKC, but also for the future. I wanted to get a team thatcould work together as one team. The 8-9-10 June 2018 the International Iaido seminar took place in Bruges, Belgium. It was organized by the ABKF with the help of the EKF (European Kendo Federation). Under the guidance of the Japanese delegation sent by the ZNKR, we had a two days seminar and gradings on Sunday afternoon. The Japanese delegation consisted of Kamikokuryo Shuichi 8th dan Hanshi, Oda Nobuaki 8th dan Kyoshi and Mikawa Noriaki 8th dan Kyoshi and they were assisted by European 7th dan sensei. at the end of the championship.

Payment information:
– Ikkyu => Application fee €10 + successful registration fee €5
– Shodan => Application fee €15 + successful registration fee €20
