Great news for ABKF and Tanaka sensei (Yu-Hi dojo) last sunday! After a full weekend of translation for the EKF Referee seminar in Brussels, under the guidance of ZNKR delegation including Eiga sensei, he managed to keep enough energy to present and successfully pass the 7th dan grading in Kendo…! Congratulations Robin Tanaka sensei for this nice achievement!

In December since 27 years in a row, ABKF organise its Winter event for Kendo, Iaido and Jodo. This year, almost 400 persons coming from 31 different countries showed up at (at least) one of the trainings organized from Tuesday to Sunday. During the weekend, also grading sessions took place where we welcomed around 130 candidates and we ended with the traditional Kendo competitions ( ladies, men individuals and the team of three). Specific for this tournament is the “Ippon Shobu” rule which asks for constant sharpness of attention if you want to win the tournament. This year we...
