De Belgen hebben het weerom gedaan in Budapest.
Een ongelofelijke prestatie neergezet tijdens het Europees Kampioenschap
IAIDO 2016
Individueel , op de 7 Finales, beheersten wij er 5, met als resultaat:
SHODAN: GOLD – Karen Vermeulen
NIDAN: SILVER – Daan Heungens
SANDAN: Een Belgische Finale: GOLD – Valentin Vervack en SILVER – Kim
Croes
GODAN: SILVER – Yuki Kanto
ROKUDAN : Een Belgische kwartfinale: BRONS – Luc Defraye en in de
finale: SILVER Michael Simonini-Meyts
Teamkampioenschap:
Het Belgisch Team heeft heel wat mooie wedstrijden geleverd, maar werd
juist voor de kwartfinales uitgeschakeld door de uiteindelijk Europees
Kampioen Zweden
Er heerste een zeer hartelijke sfeer onder alle deelnemers en
medewerkers van alle landen, een goede hoop rijst door de samenwerking
en de aldus ontstane vriendschapsbanden die het enge egoïsme, dat wij
de jongste tijd overal rondom ons de kop zien opteken, ruim overstijgt,
aldus de ondervoorzitter van de EKF, in zijn toespraak, “wij zijn in
onze oefening het voorbeeld voor de toekomst van de wereld”.

Due to Brussels not being accessible on that day (cars not allowed in Brussels) this year’s Kyu Seminar has been cancelled.
Dear friends,
A new season is upon us and a few changes will be brought to the
schedule and preparation pattern of the national team of kendo.
First of all, the national team training (NTT) will be held (whenever
possible) every first sunday morning and complemented by two asa geiko
on every second saturday and third sunday. The schedule and locations
will be put on the ABKF agenda.
Please note that the first NTT will be held on the 4th of September in
Antwerp (from 8 to 10.00):

That training is open to anyone that would like to experiment being part
of the national group and maybe join the group for the next season
(whether they want to be in the national team or just benefit from the
experience while supporting the team’s preparation).
We hope that many people from all dojos might consider this opportunity
to be part of a more shiai focused preparation, will reinforce the
national group and commit to the effort for the whole season, both
juniors and seniors.
Of course, all those training opportunities are still and always open to
any high level and/or former national team member people that would like
to join the practice and support, give advice to the national group
people. Whenever they have the time to join and bring their experience,
they are most welcome.
We wish you a very fruitful season!

In het kader van de voorbereiding van onze delegatie aan het EJC, organiseert het Technisch Comité Jodo een stage, gevolgd door een vriendschappelijke taikai.
De selectie voor deze taikai zal gebeuren ter plaatse onder de aanwezigen.
Wij hopen, ter ondersteuning, op een maximum aantal deelnemers.
Examen is mogelijk tot Nidan op het einde van deze dag. (goedkeuring van uw dojoleider is vereist.)

Uur : 09.30u – 12.30u en 13.30u – 16.30u
s’ Middags is er mogelijkheid tot nuttigen van meegebrachte maaltijd ter plaatse of gaan eten in Café Manu.

This year, the 19th ABKF Iaido Championships took place on May 15th in Havré. It was a wonderful day with great shiai.
